How it works
Clients using 2-way Satellite Internet service connect to the internet via an Earth Station consisting of a satellite dish with receiving and transmitting capabilities. The earth station sends and receives signals to a satellite.
The satellite communicates with another earth station which is connected to the Internet. 2-way satellite communication means no other terrestrial links are required. No phone line needed.
Linkstar modem transmits and receives data via satellite using the central hub where the internet connection is. In this way neither a terrestrial connectionl nor a telephone line is needed in order to connect to the Internet.
What you need
To use the service, you need a D-Star kit correctly installed and pointed by a certified expert. The satellite includes:

The dish size and transmission power depend on where the dish is installed. In areas with good coverage, you can use a 96cm dish with a transmission device of 3 watt. Professional installation is necessary because good transmission performances are dependent on the good posiitioning of the antenna.
